AI predicts male infertility risk with blood test, no semen needed

A research group led by Dr. Hideyuki Kobayashi from the Department of Urology at Toho University Faculty of Medicine has developed an AI model to predict male infertility risk using a no-code AI prediction model creation software. The accuracy of the model is approximately 74%. With these research results, it is expected that male infertility can be determined with just a blood test, eliminating the need for a semen analysis, and providing a new screening method for male infertility. These findings were published in the British scientific journal “Scientific Reports” on July 31, 2024.
