The cooperative relationship between China Pharmaceutical University and Toho University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has entered a new phrase

On December 21, 2021, China Pharmaceutical University and Toho University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences signed an exchange agreement.

Founded in 1936 as China’s first public institution for higher pharmacy education, China Pharmaceutical University has made remarkable progress and has been a leader in pharmacy education and research in China, including the selection for Project 211 in 1996, which was a national project in China. The achievements of China Pharmaceutical University are widely known even in Japan.

In 2019, Toho University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences signed an inter-faculty agreement with the School of Traditional Chinese Pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University. When the time came to renew the agreement, the two institutions discussed and decided to expand the scope of the exchange to the entire China Pharmaceutical University in recognition of the successful cooperation to date.

The signing ceremony was held online, and after greetings from the officials of both institutions, the agreement was signed by Dr. Ming Xu, Director of the office of International Exchange, China Pharmaceutical University, and Dr. Yoshio Tanaka, Vice President of Toho University and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

With this new MOU, the opportunities for student and faculty exchange and joint research between the two universities will increase, and further development of the two universities is expected.
