Dear Students,
As we enter the 2021 academic year, many students, faculty members, and staff have gathered on campus to engage in educational and research activities while striving to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus. However, the new coronavirus infection is spreading mainly in the Kansai area and the Tokyo metropolitan area, and in particular, the number of infections caused by variant strains of COVID-19 is increasing regardless of age.
In response to the declaration of a state of emergency, Toho University has decided to change the level of its activity guidelines (effective from Sunday, April 25, 2021). We would like to ask all students, faculty members, and staff of Toho University to make further efforts to prevent the spread of infection.
We understand that this sudden change and the continued spread of mutated strains of the disease just after the start of the 2021 academic year may cause some of you to feel anxious about your lives at Toho, but all of our faculty members and staff will always be there for you. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely, Ken TakamatsuPresident
