Admission Information for International Applicants

GRADUATE SCHOOL OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

2-year Master’s program

ENTRY SEMESTER: SPRING 2024

Applicants should meet one of the following conditions.

  • Those who have graduated from a university or expected to graduate by March, 2024.
  • Those designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Japan
  • Those who granted a degree of bachelor.
  • Those who granted a degree of special training school
  • Those who were educated16 years outside Japan
  • Those who have been recognized via individual screening at the Toho University Graduate School to have the same or higher level of academic ability than the average Bachelor’s Degree recipient. Those above are 22 years old.

*The seal of the instructor of your first choice research field is necessary.
*The following documents must be attached.

-Face photo (Must be clear, front view, full face, and in focus. The size should be 4cm height by 3 cm width. Write your name at the back of the photo) must be attached on the application form
-“DAIGAKU HIKAEHYO” (Designated form)
– Exam admission slip (Designated form)
– Receipt of application fee:
 * application fee should be paid to either one of the following banks;

The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, LTD (Tsudanuma branch, Account# 277-4061806)
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (Narashino branch, Account# 070-19658)
The Chiba bank (Funabashi branch, Account# 015-1467967)

– Certificate of Graduation
– Official academic transcript
– Health report (Designated form)
– English evaluation sheet (Designated form)
– Certificate of English Language Proficiency
*For those who have a score higher than 79 (iBT)
*If a TOEFL-iBT score higher than 61 is submitted, the written exam for English proficiency will be waived.
– Examination Subject Confirmation Form (Designated form)
*Choose one subject from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry
– Resume
– Copy of resident card or passport

Toho University handles personal information collected through application procedures carefully and will use only for the screening procedure, entrance procedure, survey, registrar service as well as student service.

*Once the application documents have been received, no changes will be made after submission.

This fee covers for 2-year study and research. This fee will be waived for those who complete a degree program at Toho University, and those who are currently working at Toho University or one of its affiliated facilities.
Insurance

This insurance is a so-called disaster and accidental insurance for education and research that covers a 2-year study. All international students are also required to join the national health insurance program upon their arrival.

*Once the application documents are submitted, detailed information about the entrance examination will be sent to each applicant via e-mail.

*If you wish to cancel your enrollment after completing the enrollment procedures, you must notify the Office of Graduate Admissions by 3:00 p.m. on March 29, 2024, and we will refund the entire amount of the above payment except for the enrollment fee. If you fail to do so by the deadline, the fee will not be returned for any reason.

4-year PhD program

ENTRY SEMESTER: SPRING 2024
  • A six-year undergraduate degree, or
  •  A master’s degree, or
  • Those who are above 24 years old and who have been recognized via individual screening at the Toho University Graduate School to have the same or higher level of academic ability than the average Master’s degree or professional degree recipient.

*A certificate of graduation and an academic transcript will be waived if completed a BS or MS pharmaceutical course at Toho University.

This fee will be waived for those who complete the MS program in the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Science, and those who completed the BS program in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Toho University.

Those who wish to apply for any programs in the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences should consult in advance with the supervisor of the research field in which they wish to study, and apply for admission after affixing the supervisor’s seal of approval to their application form.
