Report on 2019 Overseas Practical Training Debriefing Session[Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science]

On Friday, January 24, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical held a debriefing session for students and faculty members on the overseas practical training conducted from October to November 2019.

After opening remarks by the Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee, a total of seven students who practiced at the Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Texas, USA, and the Hospital of the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland reported on what they learned during their practical training.

In the first session, in addition to the introduction of the outline of each practice, students reported on the issues they worked on as a group during the practice (international comparison in the prevention of infectious diseases, involvement of pharmacists). In the second session, there was an information exchange between students who participated in the program this year and last year (5th and 6th year students), students who plan to participate this year (4th year students), and students who are interested in the program (3rd year students). There was a lot of talk about extracurricular activities such as sightseeing, daily life, and preparations to be made, and the meeting was closed well past the scheduled end time. It was a meaningful time for both upperclassmen and underclassmen.
